I write fiction. My stories have received first prizes in Zoetrope: All-Story’s Short Fiction Competition and Black Warrior Review’s Flash Contest, as well as distinguished honors in Best American Short Stories 2024 and a special mention in the 2025 Pushcart Prize anthology. A new piece is forthcoming in McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern, and my writing can also be found in New England Review and Ecotone. I hold a PhD in English from Rutgers, where I wrote a dissertation on modernism and literary minimalism (think Beckett). Born in Philadelphia, I grew up in Delaware County, PA, and now live with my family in California. I’m working on a novel.
